Thank you.

Not for signing up. For the part that came after — for choosing to say something to somebody, and for choosing to say it here.

This grew because of you

There is no marketing budget and no sales team. Nobody was paid to put this in front of anyone. Every single person who is here arrived because somebody sent them something made on it, and they wondered what it was.

So this did not grow because of us. It grew because of you — one card that arrived on the right morning, and somebody thinking: I would like to do that for somebody too. That is the whole of it — nothing else has ever brought anybody here.

You are the ones who make it better

Almost every serious fault this platform has had was found by a person using it. Not by a test, not by a machine, not by us. Somebody said the panel does not open on my phone, or the message is cut off — ordinary sentences, said in passing, and each one was worth more than every automatic check running behind the scenes.

That is not a nice way of describing feedback. It is literally how this is built: somebody notices, somebody says it, and the thing is different by the end of the week. If you have ever told us something was wrong, part of what you are using now is yours.

This is not ours. It is everybody's

Strip everything else away and this is a simple website. It was never trying to be clever, and being clever was never the point. It exists for one reason: so that something somebody wanted to say could arrive in a form worth keeping.

It has never tried to be big. There is no long list of features here and no ambition to have one — nothing was added because somebody else had it, and nothing is planned that would make this harder to use tomorrow than it is today. What it tries to do is smaller than that, and harder: to mean something to the person holding it.

Out there are large teams building things far more complete than this, and far better made. That is simply true, and there would be no sense in pretending otherwise.

We only hope that simplicity carries a meaning of its own.

And what matters here was never the thing we made. It is the birthday that was remembered, the apology that finally got said, the invitation somebody kept on their phone for a year after the day had passed.

None of that belongs to us. It is yours, and it is the only part that ever mattered. We keep the machinery working; you are the reason there is anything worth keeping working.

So when we say community, we do not mean an audience. An audience watches. Everybody here has made something, or been sent something, or told one other person about it — and none of that is watching. That is building.

Something we would like you to know

We cannot read your cards. That is not a policy written to sound reassuring — there is no screen anywhere in our own tools that can open one. So we do not know what you wrote, or who it went to, or why it mattered.

What we do know is that people use this for birthdays, for weddings, for apologies, for saying thank you to a teacher, for the last message before somebody moves away. Whatever yours was: we hope it landed the way you meant it to.

Our wish for you

May the people you write to always be there to read it.
May the good news reach you first.
May somebody make something for you, one day, the way you made something for them.

One thing that would help

If this was worth your time, tell one person about it. Not a review, not a post — one person who has somebody to say something to. That is genuinely how this survives.

Make another card

Thank you for being here.
